Simplify name change process

Taoyuan County (English registration booklet) application service is now available! Please apply at a household registration office in the county
As of August 1, 2003, Taoyuan county government provides English household registration booklet application service in order to serve the citizen's need of Taoyuan area. If you have reside in Taoyuan county for three months or over, please bring in your citizenship id card, current household registration booklet and passport to apply at any household registration office within the county. |

As of October 24, 2002, Taoyuan county government provides online application service for 28 services in order to provide citizens with e-services to reduce time for citizens to come in to the office for services. (Please click on the link above)

Simplified citizenship id card process
Citizenship id card can be received when you arrive and initial receiving document is processed in junior school at each neighborhood. When supplying additional documents, no registration or guarantor is required and the Id card can be processed within 30 minutes by providing an id such as passport (If no id is presented, we will send in the card for identification at the police station).

Service for disabled person
Quick, accurate, kind and warm services are available for disabled person, elderly, injured person, and handicaps. |

Services are available during lunch hour between 12:00pm to 1:00 pm Monday to Friday for your convenience. |

Single window service
All services except household number registration, citizenship application and application for changing name over age 14 are now available at a single service window. A "one time notice sheet" is given out for any incomplete process that requires corrections. |

Apply and pick up current household registration booklet
You can now apply and pick up your computerized current household registration booklet or cancellation of registration booklet in any household registration office. You do not to apply at your original registration office. |

Registration of relocation
You have moved? Just apply for the move-in registration at household registration office, no need for move-out registration at your previous location. |

Computerized household registration
Household registration network is now complete throughout the country and household registration data are now available on the network for convenience, and accuracy. |

One location with all services
Various identification registration, relocation, citizenship id card, imprint registration, household number certification, household certification booklet, and household registration booklet services are now processed at one service window. |
